Quilting during Covid has been a challenge, and a comfort. Some things remain consistent, like the pleasure of selecting fabrics to combine, enjoying the process and gifting to special people.

The cancellations of anticipated shows and classes has been a disappointment for me, and I suspect many others. Sewing masks has been a practical expression of my craft, although the availability of elastic proved to be quite a challenge.

Recently I have completed a collage of my dog Buttercup that I entered into a national show, and was disappointed to learn that the show is cancelled. It hangs in my home, and I enjoy looking at the fabric interactions. My son photographed a fox recently, and I have translated that photo also into a collage. Very interesting to work with part of the fox face in the shadow. I look forward to including this in other quilt designs.

What have other quilters been doing during this time frame?
